An Analytical Study of Conflict Management in Laem Chabang Community, Chonburi According to Buddhist Peaceful Means

              This thesis is of 3 objectives: 1) to study the way to manage conflicts according to Buddhist peaceful means, 2) to study the way to manage conflicts in Laem Chabang community, Chonburi province, and 3) to analytically study the way to manage conflicts according to Buddhist peaceful means in Laem Chabang community, Chonburi province; its tool is a qualitative research with following significant results:

            For the 1st objective, it is found that the principles of Buddhist peaceful means for conflict solution are of mediation with 9 components: (1) Control of Mindfulness, (2) Education Process, (3) Deep Communication, (4) Issues Analysis, (5) Approaching to Strategies, (6) Thinking Wisely, (7) Finding Interest, (8) Creating Option, and (9) Building Good Relationship.

 

            For the 2nd objective, it is found that the way to manage conflicts in Laem Chabang community is to heal by compensation, allocation of the new residence, performing activities and mutually taking parts of social and environmental responsibilities.

          For the 3rd objective, it is found that the way to manage conflicts according to Buddhist peaceful means in Laem Chabang community is to mediate in 3 steps:             1) Problematic view with wisdom and participation of every sector which is the analysis of the real requirements of both parties by designating representative committee from various network to negotiate for mutual solutions; 2) All sector’s being good friend by helping, taking part, creating friendly atmosphere, mediating, meeting and chatting, and giving consultation; and 3) Creation of the new future to make progress over conflicts in terms of having participation, being sincere to each other, making good relationship by doing activities together, giving information, and having social and environmental responsibilities.
